A toolbox for the small jobs that eat your day
Most of us lose time to tiny tasks. A JSON reply that will not parse. A PDF that is three pages too long. A photo that a form rejects because it is 400 KB over the limit. None of these are hard, but each one usually means searching, landing on a page full of pop-ups, and being asked to sign up before you can download your own file.

Your files stay on your device
Where we can, the work happens inside your browser. When you merge a PDF, compress an image, remove a background or generate a password, the file or text never leaves your computer. That is faster, and it means there is nothing on our side to leak.
Some tools cannot work that way, and we would rather say so than pretend. A DNS lookup, an SSL check or a YouTube tag lookup has to ask another server for the answer, so those requests go through ours. We send only what the lookup needs. Results are cached for a short while so repeat checks are quick, and they are never tied to you.
Built for where you actually live
A salary or tax calculator is only useful if it follows your country's rules. That is why many of our calculators are local rather than generic. Our take-home pay calculator works out your salary after tax in the US (every state), the UK and Canada. In the US you can also look up sales tax by state, price a road trip with the gas cost calculator, or check your snow day chances.
In the UK, the holiday entitlement calculator shows how much paid leave you are owed, including for part-time work. Across Europe you can add or remove VAT at any country's rate, and before a trip, the Schengen 90/180-day calculator tells you how many days you have left.
Date and time tools start from your own country and time zone, so a calendar shows your public holidays first and a countdown runs on your clock.

A note on accuracy
We check our rates and rules against official sources and update them when they change: tax slabs, sales tax, fuel prices, minimum wages and public holidays. Even so, a calculator gives you an estimate, not advice. For a tax return, a loan agreement or a health decision, use our numbers to prepare, then confirm with the authority or a professional.
