Frequently asked questions
Why does the Bijoy text look like English letters?
Bijoy text is made of English letters and symbols that the SutonnyMJ font draws as Bangla. Without that font, you see the letters themselves. Set the text to SutonnyMJ and it shows as Bangla.
How do I paste it into Word in SutonnyMJ?
Press Copy and paste into Word normally. The copy carries the SutonnyMJ font, so Word shows it as Bangla straight away, as long as SutonnyMJ is installed. If you paste as plain text, select it and choose SutonnyMJ in the font box.
Why do some English words or symbols look wrong in SutonnyMJ?
In a Bijoy font every English letter is a Bangla letter, so English words in the same text also change shape. Keep English words in a normal font such as Times New Roman. The converter changes curly quotes, dashes and the ellipsis into forms SutonnyMJ shows correctly.
Does it handle joined letters (juktakkhor)?
Yes. Joined letters such as ক্ষ, জ্ঞ, ন্ত্র, স্ত্র and র্য use their own Bijoy glyphs, and any other joined letter is built from its half and subscript forms, the same way the Bijoy keyboard types it.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.
